June 23, 2013 - The day we went swimming... and it didn't rain!

We had made some arrangements yesterday to go swimming with F,C&L, and also meet a friend whom we had never met before (although we have communicated online quite a number of times before).  They have adopted 2 children from Ethiopia, and she is a wealth of adoption knowledge as well.

We were picked up around 11:15, and we headed over to the Sheraton for a swim.  We swam for about an hour, and then ordered some lunch.  Hilary and Eli spent some more time in the pool than I did, and I spent some time chatting with our friends.  We were ready to leave the pool around 2:30, and Eli, and F&C's girl were about ready for a nap.  We spent a little bit of time waiting for Markos to pick us up, and then we got back to the guesthouse.  Eli went down for a short nap, as it was getting close to supper already.  Once he woke up, we played for a bit, and watched a large thunderstorm roll through.  We ate some supper, and put Eli to bed.  Another storm rolled through as we waited for Eli to fall asleep, and the power here flickered on and off a bit.

All in all, it was good day, and Eli seems to really enjoy the water.  This will be something that we will try to foster more and more once we get home, as soon as we have his ears checked out.  We hope that tomorrow, we could hear some more information about when we might be able to travel home.  Please pray that we get this information tomorrow.

  1. Definitely praying for you.
It's raining here right now - aren't you glad you're not in a canoe in the Whiteshell with the guys? ;)
