June 13, 2013 - It's raining, it's pouring....

....nobody was snoring.

Today was a good day.  We woke up this morning, and made the decision to go swimming as a family.  We arranged to be picked up at 11:30, and we left basically right on time.  None of us had slept very well over night, but we were excited to try swimming once again.  The weather didn't look great, but we figured it would probably be fine, as it usually rains for only a few minutes, and then it would be sunny for the rest of the day...

We got to the Sheraton, and paid to get into the pool.  I was still having some neck/back issues, so I asked about a getting a massage there.  There was an opening right away, so I went into the back for a Swedish massage.  It was great.  I rather enjoyed this massage.  I could have fallen asleep in there.  He massaged my legs, back, arms, and neck...  It was quite therapeutic.

While I was getting my massage, Eli and Hilary went swimming for all of 3 minutes, before the rains came.  They spent most of the hour under an umbrella beside the pool waiting for the rains to stop.  When I joined them, we went and ordered lunch, finished lunch, and then the sun came out again... We were able to go swimming for a little bit.  Eli really enjoyed the water.  He would have just jumped in, and gone underwater if we had let him.  He enjoyed having us throw him up and splash his legs in the water.  He wanted to splash with his hands quite a bit as well.  All in all, he really enjoyed the excursion, even though he was only able to swim for a little bit (about an hour total in the water).
Relaxing in the rain!

Touring the Sheraton grounds after swimming!

We met our ride at around 4:30, and it was pouring rain once again.  We got dropped off back at the guesthouse, and spent the evening inside.  Eli was quite happy all evening, until it was time for bed.  Even now, as we are watching some TV, he has been waking himself up, and crying.  He has been having a tough time sleeping lately, and we're unsure exactly why he is having this trouble sleeping.  We hope that this will get better over time, but for now, this is keeping us from getting a good night sleep.  He moves around a lot these days as well, and sits up on occasion at night.  Here's hoping it gets better soon.

Here's a bonus picture of Eli being silly.  He came up behind me, and started "walking" up the back of the couch with his head by mine.  He did this a few times, and for some reason it was great fun.

Playing with Daddy!
Also, I mentioned yesterday that I had gone to the barber for a haircut.  Here is the finished result.
Showing off my new look!

Sounds like you're doing more than all right 'on your own' with friends having left. You're on the last leg, folks...so soon you're going to be able to get onto that plane and come home. YAY!
