June 15, 2013 - The day we did nothing.... again

Today was a relaxing day...

We had a tough night, as Eli was moving around like crazy during the night.  He woke up and cried a few times, but just generally moved around, and kept us awake.

We woke up at our normal times.  We ate our normal breakfasts, and Eli went down for a nap around 9:30. He didn't fight it much, and was asleep within a few minutes.  He woke up around 11:00, and we played, and had some fun until lunch.  We had KD and Tibs for lunch.  After lunch, Eli was again quite tired (obviously he didn't sleep well at night either), so Hilary and Eli went to bed.  While they were sleeping, I did some computer work that I had been putting off until I had some time here.

At 4:00, Eli and I went downstairs to play some soccer, and run around in the courtyard.

We had fun out there, but around 5:00, he was tired of running around, and we decided to head upstairs.  Once upstairs, I left him with his mother, and went off in search of some supper.  I returned around 5:30 with supper, and we ate our supper (which consisted of french fries, and noodles).  Around 6:00, we sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the rain that was coming down.  After a few minutes, we sat around inside, and got some children's videos from youtube.  We watched/listened to some of the children's songs from our past such as "Bullfrogs and Butterflys", Psalty, and various others.  It was fun for us, and Eli was enthralled for almost a half hour with these songs and videos.

Finally, around 7:00, we put Eli to bed.  He fell asleep relatively easily again, but seems to enjoy sleeping in some very odd positions.
He sleeps in the oddest positions.

  1. Days where ya "do nothing" are pretty common as parents/families! They cement normal life and contentment, and give a baseline for special times :)
