Today was a relaxing day. As mentioned yesterday, we were both feeling a bit ill, so today was spent recuperating. I had a bit of a neck ache yesterday, and woke up today with a back problem. I had a hard time getting out of bed. As a result, I didn't get out of bed until 10 AM. I went and had a bath shortly after that. Hilary spent the morning taking care of Elijah. We did not do much of anything here today, except a skype date with my brother and family in Belize. Skype is a great thing, and it has been fun to catch up with some family members this way.
A funny story from today was when Elijah was checking himself out in a tinted window. He has done this many times, but today, he was jabbering away, and it looked like he was talking to the person in the tinted window (his own image mirrored back to him). At some point, he said "Hello" to the window. I was across the room, and attempted to confuse him by saying "Hello" in a deep voice. The reaction was priceless. He got quite scared, dropped his toys in fright, and came running over to me. He did not enjoy quite as much jabbering at the window after that, and went over there to check it out a few more times after that, but would not talk to the window. Hilary and I had a chuckle about this reaction.
As an aside, we received word today that our visa application has been completed, and been sent to Nairobi. We are still unsure of how long it will take to get this back, but it is the final step in our process here. Once we have this travel visa, we can start making the arrangements to travel home...
