Today was a difficult day.
Today we had lots of testing from Eli, and a lot of wailing by our young son. It seemed like he was just generally upset with us today. He would not eat things that he has enjoyed in the past. Finally once he was willing to eat, he ate slower than molasses in a winter storm. He fought every time he had to go on the potty, and wailed while he was actually on the potty. It was a tough day for all of us.
Due to the way the day went, we spent the day at the guesthouse. Eli and I went outside to try and burn off some energy. We were outside for nearly an hour, and he seemed to enjoy it. Once we got back into the room, he was not quite as content again. By the time we got him ready for bed, he seemed to be a little happier. Just before he went to bed, we skyped with a friend, and it was a great refresher for us to see a familiar face. Eli seemed to enjoy seeing a face that could communicate with us on the computer... Hilary continued talking with this friend as I put Eli to bed, and he fell asleep fairly quickly. And, this is getting posted later, cause the proofreader (Hilary) chatted with another friend for another hour and half on skype... We are so blessed to have such good friends....
So, all in all, it was a difficult day, and reminded us again of how much we are looking forward to getting back into our own home, and the comforts of home.
